Our Standard

Everything we do is shaped by four core values. This guides how we manage wild game, protect country, and ensure our industry is one of the most responsible in the world.

Sustainable

Australia’s commercial kangaroo harvest is one of the most sustainable wild harvest operations on the planet. Only six abundant species are permitted to be harvested, under strict government quotas based on population data.

Ethical

Animal welfare is non-negotiable. Harvesting is done in the Kangaroos' natural habitat using science-backed, ethical and humane methods. The industry ensures minimal waste with 100% of the animal used during processing

Accountable

Every step of the process is monitored, from harvest to export. Harvested animals and the processing facilities undergo regular third-party inspections to meet Australia’s strict food safety and welfare standards.

Valuable

The industry not only supports thousands of regional and rural jobs including Indigenous Australians but it also helps balance ecosystems and supplies the world with high-quality, responsibly sourced meat and leather.
